About this event

* In collaboration with Tampa QA Meetup.

Power Testmation (PT8N) is an Azure DevOps (ADO) Test Manager plugin built to cover core test management needs—now enhanced with an AI assistant named Alicia. Alicia helps teams create, execute, and improve test cases faster by generating tests from requirements and documents, analyzing existing coverage, updating tests when features change, and even running test cases through an MCP server.

Andres Castaneda is Senior QA with 15+ years of consulting and SaaS experience across finance, healthcare, and manufacturing. He’s currently focused on integrating AI into everyday QA workflows. Outside of work, he enjoys walking with his wife and dogs, running, and playing tennis.

What to expect:

A walkthrough of a realistic, day-to-day workflow: how a QA engineer uses PT8N in a normal workday—from turning requirements into tests, to keeping suites clean and up to date, to executing and refining coverage.

🎯 Highlights

  • Reduced operational cost: No-code test case creation using AI generation + natural language inputs to cut manual authoring and maintenance.
  • Faster test management cycles: AI-assisted test design from user stories, requirements, and documents, plus smart duplicate detection for cleaner suites.
  • Improved coverage and quality: Generate test cases from work items, PDFs, and plain text; maintain suite integrity via duplicate detection.
  • Immediate adaptation to change: Impact analysis identifies which tests are affected by requirement changes and suggests updates.
  • Enhanced traceability: Automated bidirectional requirement ↔ test relations to simplify audits and strengthen QA reporting.
  • Intelligent test design: Write scenarios in plain language—Alicia converts them into structured test cases.
  • Higher productivity: Offload repetitive test authoring so QA can focus on critical thinking and higher-value testing.
